Job Summary: B Con Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a hands-on, innovative mindset to customize, enhance, and program electrical systems on operating machines. The role combines applied engineering innovation connected to a cutting-edge project with approximately 50% involvement in plant systems maintenance, contributing to equipment modernization, operational efficiency, and ongoing technical improvement. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Design leading-edge engineering solutions for the various electrical systems, including 600V three-phase AC systems. Work on various stages of automation and control projects. Develop technical drawings and specifications. Manage the electrical portions of all projects in accordance with applicable codes and standards, interfacing directly with qualified contract trades as required. Collaborate with the team to develop control methodologies and implement, or supervise the implementation of, control systems by controllers or assigned personnel. Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required. Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support business needs. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or recognized equivalent. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred. 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, including hands-on work with up to 600V three-phase AC systems; experience in an industrial or comparable technical environment is preferred. Experience with instrumentation and programmable logic controller (PLC) hardware interconnections is required. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including ladder logic programming, is considered an asset. Must be eligible to obtain Controlled Goods Program (CGP) authorization. Proven ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple projects with competing deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate and problem-solve in an integrated team environment. A strong work ethic and a proven ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Proven ability to attend work regularly and punctually, with minimum supervision. Able to perform the essential duties of this position. Must be able to travel as required. Equivalent experience may be considered where demonstrated competencies meet job requirements.
