Brief Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Langley, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for medium-voltage energy isolation, maintenance, commissioning, and repair, delivering exceptional client experiences through high-quality service on primary and secondary power systems.
• Perform equipment upgrades, maintenance, testing, and commissioning for commercial, industrial, and utility clients
• Execute hands-on, on-site field work as required
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through direct on-site interaction
• Identify service opportunities and communicate them to Management
• Participate in industry events and represent the company professionally
• Ensure all required equipment and materials are available for project execution
• Provide regular project status updates to Management, including milestones, costs, risks, and opportunities
• Escalate project issues and concerns in a timely manner
• Develop site strategies and adjust project timelines as needed
• Demonstrate leadership in safety excellence and ensure adherence to all safety policies
• Maintain responsibility for site quality, document reviews, and deficiency follow-ups
• Ensure work is completed according to scope and all documentation is completed, compiled, and submitted
• Conduct technical reviews and generate detailed reports
• Support invoicing by ensuring applicable extras are captured
• Ensure timely follow-up with clients
• Provide feedback to Managers on project execution and employee performance
• Safely integrate junior employees into projects
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members
• Participate in safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture
Requirements
• Experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technologist, Field Technician, or Power Systems Electrician
• Hands-on field experience commissioning, testing, or maintaining power delivery equipment (breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers)
• Broad experience across commercial, industrial, and utility environments
• Trade or technical school certification required
• Electrical Engineering degree, PSE, CET, and/or NETA certification considered strong assets
• Demonstrated ability to lead engaged and productive project teams
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
• Strong initiative, self-management skills, and a client-focused mindset
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A positive, team-oriented, “can-do” attitude
