Job Title: Scrum Master II Location: Chicago, IL 60601 Pay rate: $75.00 - $77.21/hr Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (Hybrid: onsite 2–3 days per week) Job Overview Kraft Heinz is seeking a Scrum Master II to support Global Disruptive / Scale Innovation initiatives. This role sits within an agile pod environment and is heavily focused on timeline ownership, operational execution, and commercialization delivery for physical product innovation in the food industry. The Scrum Master II will partner closely with Marketing, R&D, Packaging, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Factory teams to bring new products to market while ensuring disciplined agile execution, clear accountability, and realistic delivery timelines. This is a hands-on role requiring comfort operating in a fully agile environment, challenging assumptions, and independently navigating cross-functional and CapEx-related processes. Job SpecificationsKey Responsibilities Timeline Ownership & Accountability (40–50%) • Build, manage, and continuously adjust detailed project timelines using MS Project • Gather inputs from cross-functional teams and proactively identify risks and capacity constraints • Frequently update timelines as innovation scope, feasibility, or operational inputs change • Hold teams accountable to delivery dates and surface roadblocks early • Challenge supply chain and engineering feasibility assumptions when timelines do not align Scrum & Agile Leadership • Serve as Scrum Master for one primary agile pod and support additional pods as needed • Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and quarterly PI planning with OKR alignment • Operate within mature agile teams running 2- or 4-week sprints • Build sprint review materials and ensure visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies • Apply agile structure pragmatically to support physical product innovation delivery Commercialization & Innovation Delivery • Support end-to-end commercialization of new product innovations • Translate marketing concepts (e.g., packaging changes, ingredient additions) into operational and manufacturing feasibility impacts • Understand machinery changes, component replacements, and installation timelines to advise on overall project timing • Partner with supply chain and engineering while challenging recommendations when alternative solutions could reduce timeline or cost Cross-Functional Engagement • Navigate between Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Factory teams to balance priorities and constraints • Identify and manage risks across technology, operations, and commercialization workstreams • Communicate clearly and effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders • Independently navigate CapEx processes and identify appropriate stakeholders without handholding Immediate Priorities (First 60–90 Days) • Take full ownership of the primary pod’s innovation timeline • Begin supporting additional pods with operations-focused agile delivery guidance • Establish strong working relationships across all cross-functional teams • Ramp quickly on machinery dependencies, commercialization phases, and key risk areas • Identify opportunities to challenge, optimize, and accelerate delivery timelines Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field • Food industry experience required (non-negotiable) • Operations-focused innovation project management background • Experience in supply chain development, factory engineering, or machinery-related innovation delivery • Strong understanding of commercialization processes, including packaging changes, formula changes, feasibility constraints, and machinery timelines • 1–2 years of hands-on agile project management experience running sprints and agile ceremonies • Comfortable operating in a fully agile-managed project environment (Agile certification not required) • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills • Self-driven and proactive with the ability to independently identify stakeholders, processes, and solutions Benefits (employee contribution): • Health insurance • Health savings account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible spending accounts • Life insurance • Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
