Job Overview :
We are seeking a
Linux Systems Engineer / Junior DevOps Engineer
to support, administer, and maintain Linux-based systems and virtualized infrastructure across both production and non-production environments.
The role focuses on ensuring
system stability, availability, performance, and security
through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution. The position also supports
automation and DevOps-oriented practices
, contributing to scripting, configuration management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with
infrastructure, network, and application teams
to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure IT operations.
Key Responsibilities :
• Administer, monitor, and maintain
Linux servers
(CentOS, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, SUSE), including user management, services, patching, and performance monitoring.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot
server hardware
, including RAID configuration and related infrastructure components.
• Support
virtualization platforms
(VMware and/or Proxmox), including VM provisioning, snapshots, and performance troubleshooting.
• Perform
log analysis and first-level diagnostics
to resolve incidents and identify root causes; escalate issues effectively when required.
• Develop and maintain
Bash scripts
and support automation workflows using
Git/GitLab
.
• Contribute to automation and DevOps initiatives;
exposure to Ansible
is considered an advantage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support system reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Education Qualification:
• Bachelor's Degree
in:
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Computer Engineering or a related field
• Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
Certifications (Preferrable) :
• Linux Certification (RHCSA or equivalent) –
Preferred
• Virtualization certification (VMware / Proxmox) – Advantage
• Automation / DevOps fundamentals – Advantage
• Database fundamentals (MySQL / MSSQL) – Advantage
• Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs) – Advantage
Techinical Competencies :
• Linux administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, SUSE)
• Server hardware and
RAID configuration/troubleshooting
• Virtualization platforms (VMware or Proxmox)
• Databases: MySQL, MSSQL
• Networking fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing concepts

• System services: SSH, NTP, DNS, DHCP
• Interest in Docker and DevOps practices
