We are representing our client in the global technology and engineering space to look for an experienced Cloud Operations Lead. The Cloud Operations Lead is responsible for leading a team of 6 to 10 engineers, including System Administrators, Endpoint Administrators, and Cloud SysOps Engineers. This role combines technical leadership and hands-on contribution, requiring the ability to guide the team through best practices, processes, and methodologies while actively participating in daily operations. The successful candidate will bring expert-level AWS knowledge and a strong understanding of ITIL operational processes, with a proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and leading by example. You will be accountable for operational excellence across cloud infrastructure and applications, while ensuring customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on operational issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution. • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. • Assign, delegate, and manage team workloads to ensure tasks are distributed efficiently and effectively. • Oversee operational activities including change management, incident management, problem management, and vulnerability management. • Manage team responsibilities related to security operations, vulnerability remediation, and patch management, ensuring systems remain secure and up to date. • Proactively handle daily events, tasks, incidents, and problems, minimizing operational impact. • Lead and actively participate in discussions with Cloud Service Providers, OEMs, and principals, staying informed of emerging technologies and industry trends. Requirements • Minimum 5 years of experience working in an enterprise environment. • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, particularly ITIL. • Familiarity with IT security and compliance standards. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. • Strong technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: System Administration, Networking, Cybersecurity, Business Continuity, Microsoft Active Directory & IAM, End User Computing • Familiarity with enterprise-class tools and platforms such as Tenable, CyberArk, NetBackup, Splunk, Palo Alto, Symantec Endpoint Protection, or similar solutions.
