Our Cloud Operations Team is responsible for key parts of our software as a service (SaaS) offering as well as providing cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) to Copperleaf. We are looking for an experienced leader to operate these services as well as improve the capabilities of the team and the operational attributes of each service. The team is distributed across multiple time zones and you report to the IT Operations Manager. The team uses the practices of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), IT Service Management, and DevOps at various levels of maturity. This includes: - Service Desk & Request Fulfillment - Incident & Problem Management - Monitoring & Event Management - Performance & Capacity Management - Automation Management and Administration - Automation Development and Toil Reduction - Service Design & Transition - Service Financial Management You will provide both people and technical leadership. • *Your background**: - You’ve spent at least 4 years leading a team to run a revenue-generating and growing SaaS offering. You bring expertise in the growth of such environments. - You can strategically plan such a service and its transformation over time, aligning such strategy with departmental, corporate, and financial business objectives. - You have expertise in monolithic and micro-services architectures. You work in AWS with Windows and Linux VMs and containers, using technologies such as: Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, and Oracle. You are fluent in many AWS service offerings. - You know the service side, bringing expertise on building and maturing organizational and service capabilities. - You are familiar with the principles of service management and know how to run a metrics-driven service centre with workflows and on-call groups where you are meeting KPIs. - You manage using metrics and work to transform the service to meet them. - You work closely with Product Development and manage the relationship effectively. - You care for your team, their careers and professional development, and employee satisfaction. - You work closely with our Security Operations team to ensure its priority.
