What our client do Our client is a Swedish energy tech company focused on making large-scale electrification work in real systems. They build a platform that coordinates flexible energy resources, such as solar generation, battery storage, loads, and EV charging, to free up capacity, reduce costs, and enable participation in flexibility markets. Who our client Serve Industries such as transport operators, commercial properties, and energy production companies who need practical tools for energy management, flexibility services, short-term market participation, and virtual power plant operations. Why Now Our client have built multiple products that solve real problems in electrification and energy operations. These products are increasingly used together, but they operate in silos. Clients are now unifying them into a shared platform foundation so data, control, and services work seamlessly. This requires clear architectural decisions and long-term structural planning, not just integration work. The platform will directly impact how electrified fleets, energy operators, and infrastructure providers run complex systems in production under real constraints. Why This Role Matters To Our Client Our client builds software at the intersection of mobility, energy, and infrastructure. Clients are unifying multiple working products into a shared platform foundation so data, control, and services work together instead of in silos. This role exists because that kind of unification requires clear architectural decisions, not just integration work. As Chief Platform Solution Architect, you will define how systems connect, how real-time data and control flow across them, and how we design a platform that scales without becoming fragile or over-engineered. Your work will directly affect how electrified fleets, energy operators, and infrastructure providers run complex systems day to day, in production, under real constraints. Without this role, we risk building fragmented solutions that don't scale, technical debt that compounds, and a platform that fails under production load. Role SummaryWhat the Person Owns The Chief Platform Solution Architect works closely with Product Ownership and Group Leadership and plays a central role in how our platform evolves. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to real systems, real trade-offs, and real engineering decisions. This person owns the target architecture, integration strategy, security and reliability standards, system boundaries, API contracts, and data governance across all products. Responsibilities (Must Have) Define target architecture: microservices, event-driven design, data platforms, device integrations • Design integration strategy across products (shared identity, billing, telemetry, APIs, multi-tenant data) • Set standards for security, reliability, observability, and performance • Own system boundaries, API contracts, and data governance • Architect the VPP/EMS and charging management integration layer with real-time telemetry • Guide key engineering decisions and review high-risk changes • Support hiring and mentoring of senior engineers Required Experience (Must Have) • 8 to 12+ years building large-scale distributed systems or platform products • Proven experience with IoT/telemetry or real-time control systems • Strong cloud architecture expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers, Kubernetes • Deep API design, security (IAM), multi-tenant data separation • Ability to communicate architecture clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience defining end-to-end architecture for multi-product platforms and setting technical standards • Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and Infrastructure as Code Nice to Have • Energy, EV charging, trading, or grid markets knowledge • Kafka/streaming, time-series databases, edge computing experience • Experience building VPP/DERMS/EMS platforms Domain knowledge: GTFS, fleet operations, mobility platforms • TOGAF, Zachman, or SOA certification • Experience with OCPP, MQTT, or similar IoT protocols Show more Show less
