Key Responsibilities:
• Cloud Architecture & Design: Design scalable, secure, and high-performance GCP solutions; create architecture diagrams and technical design documents; provide best-practice guidance across compute, storage, networking, security, and data.
• Migration Delivery: Assess applications and infrastructure for migration readiness; execute migrations using tools like M4A, M4C, M4D, Velostrata, and Cloud Storage Transfer; optimize workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency; troubleshoot migration issues.
• Stakeholder & Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients, engineering, DevOps, security, and data teams; conduct workshops, training, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Security & Compliance: Implement IAM roles, VPCs, firewalls, and encryption; ensure adherence to security best practices.
• Documentation & Governance: Prepare solution documentation, migration runbooks, and post-migration optimization guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (mandatory)
• 5–10 years in cloud architecture, with 3+ years in GCP migration
• Strong knowledge of GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, App Engine, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner), networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, load balancers), security (IAM, KMS, Security Command Center), IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible), and DevOps/CI-CD practices
