Technical Program Manager – Burbank, CA (Hybrid)
Optomi, in partnership with a globally recognized entertainment organization, is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support studio technology initiatives within a fast-paced, production-centric environment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys bringing structure to complex initiatives, and can confidently lead cross-functional teams to deliver impactful technology solutions. You’ll sit at the intersection of technology, production, and storytelling, working closely with engineers, product teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive program and operational excellence.

What you bring
• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall delivery
• Experience leading sprint ceremonies including planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
• Experience coordinating work across internal teams and external vendors
• Strong communication skills, including executive-level status reporting and storytelling
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Jira Service Manager, Smartsheet, or similar
• Ability to lead with limited direction and proactively pull together information to drive clarity
Preferred
• Experience working in media, entertainment, production, or studio technology environments
• Exposure to AI and/or machine learning initiatives
• Experience partnering with product teams on technology delivery
• Familiarity with process mapping and visualization tools such as LucidChart or Miro
• PMP, Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
What you’ll do
• Lead a portfolio of technology programs and projects from intake through delivery and post-mortems
• Define use cases, scope, project plans, resourcing needs, and timelines for complex initiatives
• Manage work using Agile and Waterfall methodologies depending on project needs
• Facilitate sprint ceremonies and ensure delivery teams are aligned and unblocked
• Coordinate closely with stakeholders, vendors, and partner teams to execute initiatives
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies; escalate issues and drive resolution as needed
• Maintain project documentation, artifacts, and reporting to ensure transparency
• Support operational excellence and continuous improvement across studio technology teams
