Position Information The Business Intelligence and Reporting Team is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst to design, develop and build data pipelines from different source systems to our Enterprise Data Warehouse. The role will support the creation and utilization of reporting and data visualization solutions in various platforms. The Business Intelligence and Reporting team sits within the Analytics Department under the Digital Solutions Portfolio. The Analytics Team supports The Ottawa Hospital achieve excellence in patient care, research and innovation by enabling access to high quality data, self-serve tools and reporting solutions. Temporary position until March 31st, 2027 approximately Rotation/Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts. • For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change. Basic Requirements • University degree and/or college Diploma in a relevant discipline • Minimum of five (5) years work experience in a computer programming environment demonstrating strong analytical and programming skills (various languages and platforms using structured methods) • Experience analyzing and documenting business requirements and recommending solutions • Experience trouble shooting and debugging applications • High level of proficiency with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL) • Experience programming transact-SQL queries and stored procedures • High level of proficiency with Data Warehousing, ETL Tools (preferably SSIS) • Experience with Business Intelligence development (preferably PowerBI) • Excellent communications skills (oral and written) • Excellent client service skills including patience and diplomacy • Eligible to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications • Work experience in a healthcare setting • Certified in Epic Cogito, Caboodle, Access and/or Clinical Data models • Experience with Epic reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, Metrics, RW SQL) • Experience with Analytics, Data Science, Statistical and Quantitative analysis • Experience with Data Governance and Master Data Management • Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French What You Can Expect From Us The Ottawa Hospital is committed to providing a healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment for everyone.
