Shopify Full Stack Developer

Shopify Full Stack Developer BUGATCHI's Montreal office is seeking a Shopify Full Stack Developer. This role is responsible for aiding in the development and growth of the BUGATCHI brand, especially with regard to its e-Commerce and digital business. This includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: • Identifying and building key front-end functionalities to drive best-in-class UX/UI for the website (on Shopify Plus platform) with Digital Marketing/E-Commerce and Creative teams. • Build landing pages and manage A/B testing operations. • Responsible for proactively identifying, testing, and implementing improvements to our Shopify storefront and landing pages with a sharp focus on boosting conversion rates, site speed, and customer experience for luxury fashion storefront. • Support website updates and refreshes based on Shopify Plus platform. • Gather requirements, test deliverability, prepare and deploy campaigns. • Work with marketing and design teams to optimize user experience and conversion flows. • Implement performance improvements to improve page speed and mobile optimization. • Deploy marketing assets to desktop and mobile properties via content management platforms. • Maintain best practices for Klaviyo email campaigns & landing pages, and make recommendations when necessary. • Accountable for successful, accurate, and on-time deployment of all assets, to ensure optimal campaign performance and support A/B testing initiatives. • Manage and anticipate company needs to provide accurate campaign execution and proactive maintenance. • Troubleshoot and debug collaboratively to resolve coding and trafficking issues. • Track, measure and analyze early post-launch campaign activities and resolve delivery and any performance problems related to setup or technical issues. • Assist Digital Marketing/e-Commerce teams in mapping development needs based on analyses, A/B testing, and identified opportunities. • Aid e-Commerce team with executing optimizations of the website to focus on conversion, retentions, upselling, etc. • Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication, and record time daily. • All other tasks as required. Requirements – The successful candidate should possess the following attributes and abilities: • Bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, UI/UX, or relevant field of work or equivalent work experience. • Min. of 6+ years of experience in web development - including responsive design, front-end development, search engine optimization (SEO), and custom applications. • Advanced Shopify Development – Expert in Liquid, JavaScript, and Shopify’s API (REST & GraphQL). • Custom Shopify App Development – Proficient in Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails for building Shopify apps. • API Integration & Automation – Experience working with third-party APIs, webhooks, and Shopify Flow automation. • Performance Optimization – Expertise in Core Web Vitals, site speed improvements, and SEO best practices. • Front-End Development – Strong proficiency in React, Vue.js, or Alpine.js for interactive Shopify experiences. • Checkout & Cart Customization – Experience with Shopify Scripts, Checkout Extensibility, and custom. • Strong understanding of UI and UX, cross-browser compatibility, general web functionality, and relational database standards, especially in relation to luxury fashion store fronts. • Strong problem-solving ability and excellent communications skills, particularly in translating technical explanations to non-technical users. • Thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional and diffuse team environment. • Able to effectively communicate directly with peers, managers, agencies/vendors, and clients while leading development to a completed and successful solution. • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with solid decision-making skills. • Preference to have had experience working in e-commerce/direct-to-consumer digital businesses. • Ability to multi-task with time management, handling several projects at once. • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. • Understanding of and interest in the fashion industry and its various channels; • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • High level of accuracy, detail oriented and strong organizational skills; and • Must be organized but also nimble and flexible to adjust to real-time demand.
