Job Summary LM Monitoring is hiring an SEO & Website Optimization Specialist to improve organic visibility and lead quality for a service-based, technical business. This role focuses on optimizing existing website pages, improving site structure, and maintaining clean SEO signals. Accuracy and clear thinking are essential. This role executes SEO, it does not rewrite or invent technical or engineering content. Key Responsibilities Page Optimization (Primary Focus) • Optimize existing service pages before creating new ones • Perform documented, page-specific keyword mapping • Rewrite and structure content for clarity, search intent, and conversion • Apply proper heading structure (H1–H3) • Improve page introductions, FAQs, and deliverables sections • Ensure content supports local and service-based search intent Website Cleanup & SEO Hygiene • Identify and document duplicate, overlapping, or thin pages • Improve meta titles, descriptions, and URLs where appropriate • Maintain clean and intentional internal linking • Document issues and recommendations before making changes Image & Media Optimization • Compress and optimize images without visible quality loss • Rename image files clearly and descriptively • Add accurate, non-spammy alt text • Ensure image changes improve page speed Internal Linking • Link service pages to relevant blogs and related services • Ensure blogs link back to one primary service page • Use natural, partial-match anchor text Advanced Responsibilities • Review and interpret Google Search Console data • Identify indexing, canonical, and coverage issues • Submit indexing requests only after pages are optimized • Implement approved canonicals, schema (Service, FAQ, LocalBusiness), and sitemap updates • Clearly justify all changes before execution What This Role Does Not Do • No backlink buying • No guest posting without approval • No rewriting technical or engineering facts • No deleting or de-indexing pages without approval Qualifications • Proven experience with on-page SEO and service-based local SEO • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console • Strong understanding of: • indexing vs crawling • canonicalization • search intent mapping • Experience optimizing existing websites (not blog-only roles) • Ability to explain decisions clearly in plain English • Comfortable following SOPs and approval workflows
