Responsibilities
Build and maintain secure, scalable GCP infrastructure, including Landing Zone and Hub-and-Spoke network architectures.
Implement and manage secure identity and access controls, including SSO, MFA, and IAM best practices.
Configure and manage networking:
VPCs, subnets, Cloud VPN, Load Balancers, and Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls.
Deploy and manage GCP services such as Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud SQL, Elasticsearch, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Service Mesh (Istio).
Implement and manage API Gateway solutions with Apigee and apply security measures using Cloud Armor and Security Command Center.
Use KMS and Secret Manager for secure key and secret management.
Apply DevSecOps practices to ensure compliance with security frameworks and data protection regulations.
Automate deployment and manage continuous delivery pipelines using Argo CD and Terraform.
Monitor infrastructure using Google Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Policy Intelligence for performance, security, and cost optimization.
Develop and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across GCP services.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with GCP services.
Participate in on-call support rotations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, primarily on Google Cloud Platform.
Hands-on with Kubernetes (GKE), Elasticsearch, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Istio.
Skilled in Terraform/Terragrunt, Argo CD, and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Strong understanding of GCP networking, security (KMS, Secret Manager, Cloud Armor, Security Command Center), and API management (Apigee).
Experienced in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and GCP monitoring and logging.
GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Associate Cloud Engineer) and a solid understanding of security compliance requirements are strong advantages.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively in English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
