Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support our Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS). This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards including AS9100/ISO9001, NADCAP Heat Treating, AMS2750 Pyrometry, and Nuclear Quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Understand, revise, release, and train Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain procedures, forms, checklists, indexes, and QMS document control
• Organize and manage QMS documentation within shared drives
• Perform procedure release checklists
• Manage the Internal Audit Program:
• * Schedule, conduct, and document internal audits
• Write and maintain audit reports and corrective actions
• Support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities using tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, and brainstorming
• Ensure timely and thorough responses to internal, external, and supplier corrective actions
• Collect, analyze, and summarize KPI data and develop action plans as needed
• Manage Stamp Holder Program, Stamp Logs, and Signatory Logs
• Review and accept material and processing certifications
• Respond to suspect nonconformities and coordinate MRB meetings as needed
• Interface with Production, Quality Management, and Engineering to resolve quality issues
• Support customer, supplier, and third-party audits including pre-audit preparation and objective evidence
• Respond to customer and supplier surveys
Additional Responsibilities
• Perform contract reviews and risk analysis for repeat and new part numbers, as needed
• Ensure customer requirements are incorporated into job and quality planning
• Provide technical interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding quality requirements
• Perform and review First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102), when required
• Oversee, support, and perform calibration activities
• Verify dimensional, functional, and drawing requirements
• Support quality procedures across all departments
• Cross-train team members within the quality department
• Participate in team meetings, projects, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
• U.S. Person (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality or Inspection
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on QMS experience (audits, calibration, RCCA, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong English reading and writing skills
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week; overtime expected based on production needs
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Detail-oriented, safety-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn
