#NEW# L2 IT Support Specialist - 6 months Project A leading financial services organization seeks an IT Support Specialist (Level 2) on a 6-month contract in Singapore to lead IT infrastructure setup for a new office and deliver reliable technical support that ensures uninterrupted business operations.
Responsibilities
Deliver Level 2 technical support resolving hardware, software, and network issues to maintain seamless end-user productivityLead setup, configuration, and deployment of IT infrastructure for a new office environment to enable operational readinessManage incident resolution and escalation processes to minimize downtime and communicate timely updates to stakeholdersSupport IT operations by maintaining network connectivity, office equipment functionality, and user account administrationCoordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to ensure on-schedule delivery, installation, and testing of IT systems and equipmentMaintain comprehensive documentation and provide structured progress updates on support activities to enhance transparency and knowledge sharingPreferred competencies and qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or desktop support roles, preferably within financial services or healthcare sectorsStrong knowledge of desktop support, network troubleshooting, and system setup to independently resolve technical issuesDemonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach to IT challengesAbility to work autonomously in a fast-paced environmentAvailability to start on short notice is advantageousProficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin (spoken and written) to facilitate effective communication with users and vendors, ensuring accurate troubleshooting and IT operations continuityPrefer someone with experience in a medical clinic or healthcare IT environmentLanguage Requirement (Business Justification)
This role requires proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin due to frequent daily interactions with end users and external vendors who primarily communicate in these languages and have limited English proficiency.
Effective communication is critical to accurately understand technical issues, perform system configuration and troubleshooting, and coordinate with vendors for timely resolution. Without strong Cantonese and Mandarin skills, there is a high risk of miscommunication, which could lead to system downtime, incorrect setup, and disruption to clinic operations. Therefore, proficiency in both Cantonese and Mandarin is essential to ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and business continuity.
