Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Linux Administrator with strong expertise in automation, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and bare metal cluster engineering.
This role will be responsible for leading the migration of OpenShift workloads from VMware-based virtualized environments to bare metal infrastructure, while driving an automation-first, declarative operations model.
The ideal candidate will champion GitOps-driven infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, traceability, and compliance across enterprise environments.

• Design, implement, and manage GitOps-based automation frameworks following IaC principles
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of bare metal OpenShift clusters
• Reduce cycle time for onboarding new bare metal nodes and creating new clusters through end-to-end automation
• Ensure version-controlled, auditable, and recoverable infrastructure changes
• Drive the transition from manual, imperative operations to declarative, desired-state automation
2. OpenShift Migration
• Lead and execute the migration of OpenShift workloads from VMware VMs to bare metal servers
• Ensure minimal downtime during migration and adherence to enterprise security standards
• Collaborate with application and platform teams to ensure migration success
3. Bare Metal Cluster Engineering
• Architect and optimize bare metal OpenShift clusters for performance, scalability, and resilience
• Implement automated monitoring, patching, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
• Support cluster lifecycle management and capacity planning

• Administer, harden, and secure enterprise-grade Linux systems (RHEL preferred)
• Implement automated patching, configuration management, and compliance checks
• Troubleshoot OS-level and infrastructure-related issues
5. Networking & Oracle Integration
• Automate network configurations for bare metal environments (VLANs, routing, DNS)
• Support Oracle database deployments within Linux and OpenShift environments
• Work closely with network and database teams to ensure seamless integration
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Automation Expertise
