Department Overview The Lead Technical Solutions Architect plays a crucial role as a technical expert, significantly influencing the sales cycle. Acting as a vital link between our sales teams and technical solutions, this role requires leveraging deep product knowledge and industry insights to understand customer needs and develop persuasive technical solutions. This position goes beyond product selling, focusing on delivering a vision and strategic methods to address client challenges. Job Description This role will support the US Federal Motorola Solutions Account team and the Federal Video Security & Access Control Specialist team, including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) applications. The Lead Technical Solutions Architect is responsible for crafting high-value solution designs that integrate both Motorola and third-party technologies to meet customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Include: • Conducting thorough requirement reviews and compliance assessments • Creating compelling technical proposal content • Developing detailed equipment lists (BOM) • Providing insight and support during customer meetings • Collaborating effectively with partners in the community • Assisting with technical support during showcases and events • Conducting product demonstrations for end-users and at trade shows • Engaging in ongoing technical training on new and existing technologies • Exploring innovative opportunities with strategic technology partners based on client needs Required Knowledge/Skills: • Bachelor's Degree with over 7 years of experience in needs analysis and solution design, or more than 11 years in a related field • Preferred: Engineering, IT, or Computer Science background • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain the required security clearance for government contracts • Proven experience working with Federal Government clients • Strong ability to identify and analyze customer needs • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Exceptional abilities in presentations and product demos • Focus on delivering outcomes and capabilities, beyond just product features • A highly motivated team player • Experience with Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) systems • Knowledge of telephony protocols such as SIP and H.323 • Experience in IP network design and administration • Proficient in multicast IP routing • Preferred: Experience with PBX design • Preferred: Familiarity with RAVE Mobile Safety Suite Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 USD In line with Motorola Solutions values and applicable laws, pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Actual offers will depend on individual candidates.
