A leading global bank with a strong regional presence is seeking a dynamic Lead Solution Architect to join their high-performing technology team. This is a unique opportunity to drive enterprise-scale architecture initiatives across critical banking platforms in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. Responsibilities
• Lead the conceptualization and design of technical solution architectures aligned with project requirements and enterprise IT strategies.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, system SMEs, and product vendors to ensure proposed solutions comply with organizational standards, guidelines, and strategic objectives.
• Serve as the key liaison between enterprise architecture teams and technical delivery units, translating strategic vision into actionable implementation plans.
• Provide technical leadership in evaluating emerging technologies, frameworks, and platform capabilities to enhance solution design and delivery.
• Guide and mentor development teams and technical leads in applying architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for solution architectures.
• Facilitate architecture review processes, ensuring effective communication and alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Present and secure approval for proposed solutions from IT leadership and enterprise architecture governance boards.
• Lead and manage a team of solution architects, fostering professional growth and driving value-added services across projects.
• Ensure architectural deliverables meet quality standards and address both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Stay abreast of evolving technology trends, platforms, and industry innovations to inform future architecture strategies. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, with at least 10 years in solution architecture and design roles.
• Strong understanding of system development and project implementation lifecycles within banking environments.
• Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing architecture teams.
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions involving full-stack integration across channels, systems, middleware, and data platforms.
• Experience integrating commercial off-the-shelf products and cloud-native solutions is highly desirable.
• Hands-on expertise in application modernization and data/application migration strategies and tools.
• Familiarity with banking technologies, core systems, and industry trends.
• Technical proficiency in the following areas is preferred:
• Modern engineering practices : DevOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, enterprise integration patterns
• Data platforms and architecture : Oracle, MS-SQL, data warehouse, data lake
• Cloud services : Microsoft Azure (APIM, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Azure SQL DB)
• Middleware technologies : IBM MQ, IWA, MFT
