Join our team as a Junior Data Analyst with the Accouting Team
The Junior Data and Report Analyst is responsible for receiving requests for data analysis and report creation, verifying the validity of the request, logging, documenting and comparing to existing reports and queries for new requirements.
The Junior Data and Report Analyst is also responsible to use a structured methodology to define, verify and document reporting inputs and outputs and to follow a structured approach to deliver new reports.
• *Responsibilities**:
- Receive, document and manage requests for data analysis and reporting
- Prioritize requests and group like requests
- Perform analysis of reporting requirements and outputs
- Coordinate with stakeholders on requirements and timelines
- Create, test, document and finalize new data sets and reports
- Produce and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required
- Receive, document and manage requests for process review
- Prioritize requests for processing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years data analysis or accounting experience
- University degree or college diploma in any of Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or and equivalent combination of academic practical experience.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Knowledge of database structures and query tools used to extract data, especially SQL
- Strong knowledge of Excel, including VBA functions.
- Familiarity with analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports and statements
- Must be willing to work independently, be well organized, able to prioritize, meet deadlines
- Take initiative to solve problems and pay attention to details
- Knowledge of PowerBI and project accounting is an asset
