We are seeking a Head of Analytics & Research to provide senior leadership across advanced analytics, academic research and data governance within a large healthcare organisation. In this pivotal role, you will shape how data and evidence are generated, governed and applied to support critical decision-making. Working closely with internal leaders and external partners, you will ensure that insights used across the organisation are rigorous, ethical and fit for purpose.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include leading multidisciplinary teams responsible for analytics, research and data governance.
You will guide the development and execution of advanced analytics and data governance capabilities, ensuring that analytical outputs are robust, reproducible and communicated effectively to non-technical audiences. You will provide leadership on data standards, data quality and responsible data use, and support the establishment of frameworks that enable consistent and trusted use of data across the organisation.
In parallel, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of primary research and programme evaluation initiatives, including study design, methodological guidance, oversight of data collection and analysis, and the translation of findings into clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers. This includes advising stakeholders on appropriate evaluation approaches, analytical techniques, and the interpretation of quantitative and qualitative findings.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience leading advanced data analytics and research functions in complex, data-rich environments, within the healthcare sector. Strong team leadership and management experience is essential. You should be comfortable hiring, developing, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
A post-graduate qualification in a relevant field such as data science, statistics, economics, public health, social research, or a related discipline is required, with a doctoral degree or equivalent research experience strongly preferred. You should have substantial experience applying advanced statistical or econometric techniques and a solid understanding of the full data lifecycle, from data acquisition and analytics through to governance and stakeholder engagement.
