There is a significant market opportunity driven by growth, transformational and regulatory compliance needs of large financial services players. This is across banking, capital markets, wealth and asset management, payments and insurance sectors. As part of EY’s FinTech strategy, we are heavily investing in our propositions and are looking for a Manager with strong hands‑on experience in LLM reinforcement learning to join our team. This role focuses on applying reinforcement learning approaches to optimise LLM behaviour and deliver scalable, production‑ready solutions for enterprise use cases. You will work closely with engineers, data scientists, product teams and clients to translate advanced LLM techniques into practical solutions. Your key responsibilities Act as a subject matter expert in LLM reinforcement learning Design and implement reinforcement learning approaches to improve LLM performance, alignment and reliability Apply techniques such as RLHF, RLAIF, reward modeling and policy optimisation Define reward functions, feedback mechanisms and evaluation metrics for continuous improvement Fine‑tune and optimise LLMs using reinforcement learning techniques Work with open‑source or proprietary foundation models Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalability and production readiness Translate business and technical requirements into LLM‑based solutions Support end‑to‑end delivery from experimentation and prototyping to deployment Skills and attributes for success Strong hands‑on experience in reinforcement learning applied to Large Language Models Practical experience with RLHF, RLAIF, reward modeling and policy optimisation Solid understanding of LLM architectures, training pipelines and evaluation challenges Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow Delivery experience in the FinTech and Financial sectors, and experience of driving, articulating, and contributing to key FinTech trends Experience in AGILE project management A proven record of leadership in delivering transformational services and solutions in leading financial services companies Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization Proven sound judgment and flexibility in balancing multiple project requirements, tight deadlines, and keeping people and projects moving on schedule, with high attention to detail A driven individual possessing the hard and soft skills necessary to drive transformational performance across our portfolio of accounts and solutions Expert client management and client relationships skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to navigate successfully across complex, geographically and commercial diverse operations What we look for A university degree majoring in computer science, mathematics, accounting, information systems, business or legal related subjects Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese Ability to interact with executive levels of clients, regulators and EY management Good influencing skills and stakeholder relationship management skills, advanced conflict management/resolution skills and project coordination experience Strong report‑writing skills, with ability to create and organize varying forms of business information while developing it into clear, meaningful, professional reports and presentations What we offer you At EY, we’ll develop you with future‑focused skills and equip you with world‑class experiences.
