Field Service Specialist: Engineering - Mid-Career
Reivax North America is seeking a full-time Field Service Specialist. The company is located in downtown Montreal (QC) and provides Excitation System and Hydro Governor for the hydro & gas generating industry. The position will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
NOTE: Candidate must either be a Canadian citizen or hold a permanent residence visa for Canada.
General Responsibilities – Field Service Specialist
Installation Supervision and Commissioning (start-up service)
Project documentation support and interaction with engineering design team
Technical support to customers and factory test personnel
Customer training (on-site and remote).
Factory testing at our manufacturing partner in Houston, TX.
Travel will be required approximately 50% of the time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering.
One (1) to five (5+) years of Field Service experience.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good interpersonal skills and customer relations.
Ability to take initiative and work independently and efficiently.
Proficient working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.).
Must be eligible to travel to US and hold a valid Driver’s License (Canda or US).
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Additional Qualifications
These qualifications are not required but will be considered an advantage towards being a successful candidate:
Background in power generation or utilities with specific experience in Excitation or Governor system.
Fluent in written and spoken French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
General knowledge in hydro governor hydraulics.
