• Federal Work Study: Career for Career and Professional Development Student Assistant
• We at the Center for Career and Professional Development are looking for hard working dynamic students to join our team! In addition to making a difference in the lives of your fellow students, you will develop skills employers seek, including written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work as a member of a team, professionalism, and the confidence to take the initiative on the job. Duties
• Represents the values and mission of the CCPD and serves as a role model to students, alumni, and other student assistants
• Assist students and alumni with appointment scheduling and address their questions both in person and over the phone
• Guide students and alumni to CCPD resources
• Monitor student sign-in process
• Provide support to CCPD staff members with preparing for and delivering workshops, programs, and events
• Create flyers and/or social media posts to be used in marketing workshops and events
• Supports UHD and CCPD policies and guidelines
• Maintains confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of social media platforms such as lnstagram, Facebook, Linkedln, and Campus Groups
• Creativity and design experience in tools such as Canva
• Understand what it means to provide excellent customer service
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Attention to detail with the ability to solve problems independently
• Willingness to learn new things
• Must be dependable and professional
Qualifications
• Must provide a course schedule for the upcoming semester and a Financial Aid Award Letter that includes Spring 2026 if selected for an interview
• Must be a current UHD student with Financial Aid Federal Work-Study for the Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 Academic Year
• Must have a GPA of 2.25 or higher
• Must be available to work up to 20 hours a week. Available hours range from Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00AM- 5:00 PM
