As an Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will be instrumental in supporting our client's semiconductor manufacturing operations. Collaborating closely with our client's team in a dynamic environment, you will tackle diverse projects, varying in size and complexity. Your key responsibilities will include assessing existing systems, consulting with system owners, and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders.
You will engage with clients, contractors, and on-site personnel at our facility in Wilton, Connecticut. Your duties will encompass designing and developing electrical systems, as well as preparing essential documents such as Basis of Design (BOD) and Scope of Work (SOW). You will supervise engineering and construction activities related to facility power distribution systems (up to 13.8kV), grounding, lighting, emergency and standby generation systems, life safety, and fire alarm systems, involving both retrofits and new builds.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university
• Minimum of 10 years experience in electrical systems engineering design
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA standards including 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, along with building and energy codes
• Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills with proven leadership experience
• Experience with specifications and selecting electrical equipment
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and control applications
• Experience reviewing vendor submittals against requirements
• Field experience with subcontractors and construction personnel
We highly encourage candidates with:
• EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
• 5 years of experience in facilities engineering
• Knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls design-related deliverables
• Control panel design experience, including UL508A requirements
• Proficiency in electrical modeling software, such as SKM Power Tools, ETap, or EasyPower
• Experience with design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM360
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Motivation to learn best practices and share innovative ideas
• Passion for buildings and the construction industry
Other Requirements:
This position is on-site, requiring work at the client site in Wilton, CT. Relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus are available!
The candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday through Friday during typical business hours (approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility).
Physical Requirements:
• Field visits to construction sites are required; candidates must be able to walk long distances, sit, stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs.
