Our client is seeking an experienced Datacenter Engineer to support and optimize their physical datacenter infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring reliability, efficiency, and security across datacenter environments, including structured cabling and power management. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support critical IT operations and infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and support physical datacenter infrastructure, including racks, PDUs, and IDF closets • Configure and manage APC power devices using StruxureWare • Oversee structured cabling installation, organization, and documentation • Manage network device backups and configurations using BackBox • Configure, maintain, and support Cisco UCS hardware • Perform hardware and network inventory management • Partner with network teams to troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues • Conduct routine datacenter audits and inspections • Support datacenter upgrades, relocations, and decommissions • Provide guidance to junior team members as needed Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in datacenter or physical infrastructure roles • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) preferred • Experience with Cisco UCS a plus • Hands-on experience with physical datacenter infrastructure • Working knowledge of APC (or Raritan) devices and power management tools • Experience with structured cabling and IDF closet management • Familiarity with BackBox or similar configuration/backup tools • Understanding of networking fundamentals and VMware architecture • Strong inventory management, documentation, and troubleshooting skills • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio Compensation: $60-62/hr Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications. #SONITECH1
