We are looking **Datacenter Engineer **for Qatar. **Scope of Work** The scope of work includes the following responsibilities: **Datacenter Infrastructure Management** - Server and Network Management: - Manage and maintain physical servers, core networking devices (e.g., Cisco switches, routers, Palo Alto firewalls), and Hyper-V virtualized environments. - Administer local Active Directory services and ensure secure and reliable operations of customer's infrastructure. - Backup and Disaster Recovery: - Implement and manage backup solutions. - Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure customer’s business continuity in case of system failures. - Network and Wi-Fi Management: - Oversee LAN/WAN configurations, manage VLANs, and ensure high network availability. - Maintain secure Wi-Fi access points and wireless controllers across customer’s facilities. - Security and Compliance: - Implement network security policies, maintain endpoint security, and ensure compliance with customer’s IT security protocols. **Documentation and Reporting** - Low-Level Design (LLD) Documentation: - Create detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for the existing infrastructure and future projects after their implementation. - Ensure comprehensive project documentation that outlines all project-related tasks and job descriptions assigned to the Datacenter Engineer. - Maintain and update "as-is" and "post-change" documentation for any modifications in infrastructure, ensuring transparency and accountability. - Change Management and Reporting: - Implement a robust change management process and provide regular reports to CUSTOMER’s IT department regarding system performance and changes. - Knowledge Transfer and Collaboration: - Document knowledge transfer sessions and collaborate with other teams/vendors as required for project success. **Flexible Staffing and Trial Periods** - Two-Week Trial Period: - The selected engineer will undergo a two-week trial period. If the engineer is found not to meet the qualifications stated in the CV, the contract will be terminated immediately. - One-Month Performance Review: - After one month, if the engineer does not meet the performance standards required by CUSTOMER, the vendor must replace the engineer at no additional cost. **Additional Tasks that can be Assigned When Needed** - Azure Cloud or System Admin Responsibilities: - The Datacenter Engineer may be assigned tasks related to system administration and cloud infrastructure management, including but not limited to cloud security, system configurations, or database management. - On-Site Presence: - The engineer will work on-site at CUSTOMER for 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, with flexibility for additional hours as needed. - Consultation: - The vendor must ensure that the engineer provides expert consultation on new IT infrastructure projects and upgrades. **Generic Job Description of the Datacenter Engineer** - Responsibilities Include: - Manage CUSTOMER's data center infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and virtualization platforms. - Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes. - Create Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for both current infrastructure and future projects. - Collaborate with CUSTOMER’s IT team and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery. - Provide expert consultation on infrastructure improvements and ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards. - Additional system admin or Azure-related tasks as assigned. - Qualifications: - At least 5+ years of experience managing data center and IT infrastructure. - Certifications such as CCNP, Microsoft Windows Server Certified, and Fortinet or Palo Alto Firewall Certified. - Strong documentation and communication skills, especially in LLD creation. Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per month **Experience**: - Datacenter Infrastructure Management: 4 years (preferred) - Create Low-Level Design (LLD) documents: 3 years (preferred) - Cisco switches, routers, Palo Alto firewalls: 3 years (preferred)
