QA Engineer - II (FinTech)
Engineering – Vancouver, British Columbia (Hybrid)
The Opportunity
Our client is an established Enterprise SaaS FinTech leader based in downtown Vancouver. They provide a mission-critical platform that enables global Tier 1 banks to deploy embedded financial services, creating seamless connections between banking systems and corporate ERP/accounting platforms.
Founded in 2016 and currently scaling rapidly post-Series B, they work with some of the largest financial institutions in the world (with assets exceeding $3T). This is an opportunity to join a high-growth environment where you will build complex, innovative technology that fundamentally changes how companies manage their finances.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite at a premier office in Downtown Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities
• Automation Frameworks: Design and maintain scalable, end-to-end automation frameworks for Java-based backend APIs using tools like Rest Assured, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Test Strategy: Define and execute test plans for complex microservices architectures, covering functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios.
• Collaboration: Conduct manual end-to-end tests in collaboration with global banking partners in lower environments.
• DevOps Integration: Utilize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling to run and maintain E2E tests.
• UI Automation: Leverage tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for UI test automation.
• Technical Depth: Apply a solid understanding of microservices, JSON/XML, and security protocols (OAuth, SSL/TLS) to ensure system integrity.
Qualifications
• Experience: 4–5 years of experience as a QA Engineer with a heavy emphasis on automation.
• Tech Stack: High-level experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with cross-functional teams.
• Domain Knowledge (Plus): Prior experience with ERPs (Netsuite, QuickBooks Online) or experience within the FinTech/Banking sector is highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: $98,040 - $105,620 annually (based on market data and experience).
