About the team you are joining
Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) team is responsible for the development, implementation and support of data solutions needed to monitor safety, operational and capacity KPIs. These includes, without being limited to:
- Managing Data Sharing Programs (IDX, FDX, MCX and ADX)
- Supporting OSS lines of business in their data, reporting and dashboard needs
- Ensuring the availability, reliability, and quality of the data through performance tuning and continuous monitoring
- Identifying and driving process improvement opportunities to optimize performance of data warehouse
- Adhering to data governance policies, quality standards and best practices
What your day would be like
- Plan, coordinate, and execute activities related to integration of data and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the successful delivery of ETL solutions
- Develop ETL workflows and scripts using ETL tools for the purpose of ingestion, integration, and aggregation
- Develop testing plans and perform testing including source data, metadata, transformations and target validations
- Create technical documentation including data mappings, process flows and data dictionaries
- Implement error handling mechanisms, data validation checks and monitoring processes to ensure integrity of data
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support and troubleshooting including investigating and resolving data-related issued
- Identify and analyse complex, ambiguous and/or conflicting development issues and provide recommendations and solutions
- Analyse functional requirements to make recommendations for efficiency, database management and connectivity, and technology solutions
- Validate, crosscheck and debug the integration and aggregation processes
- Evaluate vendor capability
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities
We would love to hear from you if
- University degree in relevant disciplines such as computer science, software engineering, information technology
- Solid understanding of database systems, data modelling, and data warehousing concepts
- Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical reports and system documentation
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing ETL workflows to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into target systems.
- Hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration Platform would be an asset
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL Data Warehouse Technology
- Strong organization and detail-orientation mindset
- Excellent communication skills in English (a must)
- Experience with aviation data (an asset)
