**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, operate, and maintain data centre electrical systems, including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, and low/medium voltage systems.
- Perform regular inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of electrical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor power usage effectiveness (PUE) and implement strategies for energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly to minimize downtime and operational impact.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and utility providers for installations, upgrades, and emergency repairs.
- Support the development and implementation of electrical system upgrades and capacity planning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation including schematics, SLDs, equipment records, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NFPA, IEC), and internal safety procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis and incident reviews, providing technical expertise and solutions.
- Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to maintain integrated system performance.
• *Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a data centre or other mission-critical environment.
- Proficiency in electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, backup generators, and emergency power systems.
- Experience with SCADA, BMS, and CMMS tools.
- Strong knowledge of power quality, grounding, and arc flash safety practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certifications (e.g., CEng, IEEE membership) are advantageous.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and green building certifications (e.g., LEED) is a plus.
