Role and Responsibilities • Pioneer a new way of thinking about data pipelines, orchestration, and configuration. • Develop next-generation micro-services to enhance and mature a data-driven culture. • Help develop analytics and data Kubernetes products in AWS. • Build data products for data science use cases. • Assemble complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements. • Identify and design internal process improvements, including redesigning infrastructure for scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. • Build tools for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from multiple sources. • Create product features that enable self-service analytics. • Collaborate with partners including data, design, product, and executive teams to resolve data-related technical issues. Required Skills and Experience • Proven experience developing and automating large-scale, high-performance data engineering systems (batch and streaming). • Proficiency with scripting and system programming languages such as Python and Scala. • Experience with microservices, including defining and testing APIs. • Ability to architect, develop, and deploy both offline and online feature stores. • Experience leading data integration efforts across various data sources. • Ability to partner with internal departments such as Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and HR to establish requirements. • Ability to mentor junior team members through modern cloud-based development practices. • Proven ability to translate requirements into technical specifications and produce source-to-target data mappings. • Experience introducing complex technical concepts into an organization and mentoring others. • Background in advanced analytics and machine learning. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with AWS, SQL, Python, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
