This a fully onsite role in Downtown Chicago, IL. Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Full-time | Monday - Friday Location: fully onsite in Downtown Chicago Duration: Temp-to-Perm Compensation: $28 - $30/hr temp | $70,000 upon conversion to permanent Our client, a Chicago-based nonprofit organization, seeks a Project Coordinator to manage a high-volume of projects with their small business development fund team. Prior experience in a nonprofit setting and bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are strongly preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Under direction of the Director, the Project Coordinator handles a high volume of projects, administrative tasks, and program management. • Spend time learning the program rules of the program • Handle a high volume of active projects (program split as assigned by Director), ranging from 60 – 100+ projects at any given time. This is the most critical function of the PC’s role. Assume ongoing applications in various states, monitor/enforce deadlines, display strong and effective communication to applicants about required documents, careful document review and preparation of correspondence • Perform site inspections (~1-2x per week) to meet with applicants, discuss projects, and take pictures of project sites • Prepare voucher packets for the City of Chicago and ensure project files are fully and appropriately completed • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Excellent communication, writing, problem solving, and decision-making skills • Customer centric demeanor, ability to exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism • 2+ years of project coordination/project management experience preferred • Nonprofit experience preferred • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred • Patient and constructive in working with applicants and various program stakeholders • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook) • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment focused on providing outstanding customer service, interoffice collaboration, operational efficiency, and programmatic compliance • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines #INDHP City Staffing is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in all aspects of our business.
