You Are:
An accomplished Enterprise Solution Architect with specialized knowledge in architecting AWS Cloud and DevOps platforms, adept at transforming complex requirements into impactful, value-driven solutions. You effectively engage with C-level executives and technical stakeholders, fostering discussions on risk and resilience while designing architectures that emphasize security, scalability, and compliance.
As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect for AWS Cloud, you will act as a technical specialist and trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, tailoring secure, scalable, and compliant solutions on the AWS Cloud that align with customer objectives.
The Work:
Your responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with clients to co-create solutions, establishing operating models, SLAs, and KPIs while aligning proposals with compliance frameworks and governance structures.
Lead Pre-Sales Architecture & Solutioning:
• Design and articulate comprehensive AWS service architectures that address customer needs and adhere to industry standards.
• Develop network, security, and governance frameworks tailored to specific application requirements.
• Create delivery models (operate, enhance, transform) with clearly defined SLAs, KPIs, RACI charts, and transition strategies.
Qualify & Propose:
• Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities and create persuasive technical proposals that include AWS service mapping and migration strategies.
• Define solution scope, assumptions, and dependencies, contributing to SOWs and commercial terms in collaboration with Legal/Commercial teams.
Client Engagements & Demonstrations:
• Lead client interactions, including technical demonstrations, proofs of concept, pilots, and security evaluations to demonstrate value and feasibility.
• Clearly present architectural rationale, trade-offs, and the realization of value to IT leadership and business executives.
Trusted Advisory & Best Practices:
• Offer guidance to clients regarding AWS best practices, microservices architecture, governance, and cost-efficient strategies.
Technology Mastery:
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of both existing and emerging AWS Cloud services, including Serverless frameworks and DevOps methodologies.
Cross-Functional Handover & Delivery Readiness:
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure seamless transitions and successful implementation of solutions.
• Assist in early deal stabilization when necessary to mitigate transition risks.
Thought Leadership:
• Stay informed on industry trends and vendor updates to continuously innovate our service offerings.
• Support technical training initiatives and participate in industry events to enhance awareness of our capabilities.
Travel may range from 0% to 100% based on deal stages and business requirements.
Here's what you need:
• A minimum of 8 years in technology roles, particularly with AWS or similar technologies.
• A minimum of 5 years in solution planning, presales engineering, or enterprise architecture focused on AWS Cloud.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Core AWS Services (EC2, RDS, Cloud Networking) and advanced serverless architecture (Lambda, EKS/ECS) alongside DevOps frameworks.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (12 years). Associate's Degree candidates must have 6 years of relevant experience.
Bonus Points if:
• You hold certifications such as the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Professional, Certified Solution Architect - Associate, Certified DevOps Architect - Associate, or Advanced Networking Specialty Certification.
