Overview
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect – AWS Cloud position for our client.
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 11 months
Duties:
• Lead application migration to AWS Outposts, developing migration blueprints and patterns in coordination with AWS teams.
• Implement Gen AI-based code compilation and deployment techniques for rapid migration.
• Define automation strategies for provisioning, scaling, and patching infrastructure.
• Select appropriate cloud services, components, and design patterns to meet enterprise requirements.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural alignment and best practices.
Skills:
• Strong expertise in AWS architecture, with hands-on experience in Outposts deployments.
• Gen AI code deployment and compilation techniques.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Cloud design patterns and automation strategies.
Experience:
• 8+ years in designing and developing J2EE applications for large enterprise customers.
• Proven experience leading AWS application migrations and cloud architecture initiatives.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate or Professional required.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
