**Overview:** Expedia Group is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our Design System team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our design system, working closely with designers and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, accessible, and consistent user interfaces for our travelers and partners. **Responsibilities:** • Apply technical Android engineering knowledge to solve user experience problems and advocate for engineering's role in the design lifecycle • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to develop solutions for new and improved user experiences • Write clean, maintainable, and optimized code by applying software design principles, data structures, and computer science fundamentals • Build new technical expertise in a rapidly evolving environment while helping mentor and guide other engineers on the team • Develop prototypes to influence product strategy and advise on technical possibilities and limitations • Proactively provide clear updates on work status and coordinate stakeholder input when developing solutions • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 5+ years of professional software development experience, OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience; OR Equivalent related professional experience • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android frameworks like Jetpack Compose • Experience maintaining software projects in production environments, including bug fixing, troubleshooting, and monitoring • Experience developing software in at least three different programming languages • Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git • *Benefits:** • A full benefits package, including exciting travel perks, generous time-off, parental leave, a flexible work model (with some pretty cool offices), and career development resources • Opportunities for career growth and professional development • A collaborative and diverse work environment • A range of benefits to support employees and their families, including medical/dental/vision, paid time off, and an Employee Assistance Program
