The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, promote best practices, and support the successful delivery of technology projects. This role requires strong communication, team-coaching abilities, and hands-on experience using Jira for metrics, reporting, and sprint management. The position follows a hybrid work model based in one of the 12th District offices. Preferred location is San Francisco, CA; other possible locations include Salt Lake City, UT; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; and Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint demos, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and PI planning. Guide teams in applying Agile/Scrum principles to ensure prioritization, readiness, and delivery for each sprint and program increment. Coach team members to resolve issues related to Agile and Scrum processes, fostering a continuous improvement mindset. Identify and proactively remove impediments to maintain team momentum, escalating as needed. Shield the team from interruptions and conflicting priorities. Manage team workload and collaborate with managers or Product Management to negotiate timelines when necessary. Coordinate dependencies with other Agile teams and collaborate regularly with other Scrum Masters and the Program Manager/RTE. Work closely with the Product Owner, Product Analysts, and Solutions Lead to maintain healthy sprints and ensure effective delivery. Own Jira project management, including issue tracking and workflow administration. Use Jira metrics—such as burn up/down charts, release burndowns, velocity, and capacity metrics—to evaluate team health and identify improvement opportunities. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software development environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in Jira, including managing scrum boards and generating performance metrics. Ability to coach and guide Agile team members effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with technical and business stakeholders. Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and manage work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications ~ Experience coordinating across multiple Agile teams within larger programs. Certifications ~ PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
