Position Title: Workday Functional Testing Lead
Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid
Anticipated Start Date: 2/9/2025
Expected Duration: 6 months with possibilities for extension
Pay rate: $55 to 60/hr
Job Type: Contract: 40 hrs/week

About the Role:
You will coordinate the functional testing activities across 7 HR modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Security, Workforce Planning and Peakon) as part of the Workday implementation. You’ll ensure scenario readiness, test case assignment, and completion in line with workstream dependencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee test case scenarios readiness, assignment, sequencing, and tracking for functional teams
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, coordination between business, QA, and integration teams
• Manage test case creation and execution progress in Jira/Zephyr
• Provide metrics on execution, defects, and readiness status for functional workstreams
• Ensure functional test deliverables align with overall E2E test strategy
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of functional testing experience in Workday HR applications. Workday Pro Certification Preferred
• Knowledge of HR business processes across Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Security
• Proficiency in test management tools (Jira/Zephyr) and strong coordination ability
• Strong communication and organizational skills
