We are seeking an experienced Workday specialist to join our Business & Technology Integration team in support of the project HCM Implementation (Workday).
Role Overview
As the Workday Advanced Compensation Solution Architect & Functional Lead, you will be accountable for shaping end-to-end business and system solutions that deliver measurable value to the client. You will lead current-state assessments, define high-level business requirements, design future-state processes, and ensure solution alignment with the client’s strategic objectives.
In this role, you are expected to act as a subject matter expert (SME) in Workday—particularly in Core HCM and Advanced Compensation—while providing leadership, functional guidance, and decision-making support across the project team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead design discussions, define business and functional requirements, and architect scalable solutions leveraging Workday Advanced Compensation and Core HCM capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to drive business value through optimized processes, automation, and best-practice Workday configurations.
- Develop, validate, and present business cases and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders.
2. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide functional leadership to cross-functional teams, guiding them through design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Drive team alignment by managing decisions, resolving cross-team issues, and ensuring consistent solution delivery.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration across workstreams.
- Act as a key escalation point, supporting the team in diagnosing and resolving build-related issues to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
3. Strategic Advisory & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct market, process, and organizational analysis to identify enhancements and new business opportunities.
- Recommend innovative solution strategies to improve efficiency, user experience, and operational effectiveness.
- Champion continuous improvement by refining methodologies, tools, and delivery practices across the Workday project lifecycle.
Required Expertise
- Advanced proficiency in Workday Core HCM and Workday Advanced Compensation (Solution Architect-level experience strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes within large-scale or complex organizations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive consensus across multiple groups.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide structured, scalable, and future-ready solutions.
