Role Purpose
The Trainer – Wine and Spirits will lead the design and delivery of structured, curriculum-based spirits education programs. This role focuses on professional training methodologies, formal learning frameworks, and developing educational initiatives that elevate category knowledge across internal teams and industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop structured spirits education curricula and training frameworks
• Deliver professional-level training programs, masterclasses, and certification-style learning sessions
• Build and support a formal beverage education platform or academy structure
• Train internal commercial teams and external industry professionals through structured education programs
• Create educational materials aligned with global spirits standards and best practices
• Lead education initiatives around new product launches and category development
• Mentor junior educators, trainers, or brand education staff
• Evaluate training effectiveness through structured feedback and learning assessments
• Stay current with global spirits trends, education standards, and industry developments
Candidate Profile
• Proven experience working within a bar academy, beverage training institute, or alcohol education organisation
• Strong background in curriculum development and structured learning delivery
• Experience delivering formal spirits education programs or certification training
• Strong presentation skills with confident professional presence
• Experience leading education initiatives or managing training programs/teams
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong knowledge of global spirits categories and industry standard
Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree
• 5–12 years of relevant experience in beverage education or structured alcohol training
• Professional certifications such as WSET Spirits, BarSmarts Advanced, CMS, or equivalent strongly preferred NOT MANDATORY
• Background in learning methodologies or training frameworks is a plus
