EHC is currently looking for a Will Call Clerk for a client located in the south Houston, TX area.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm w/$1.00 an hour shift differential
Job Summary:
Conduct day-to-day activities pertaining to Will Call Orders for the Shipping Department while maintaining a clean as well as safe work environment.
Essential Responsibilites:
In addition to the responsibilities of “Shipping & Receiving Window”:
• Ensure designated equipment is in proper working condition
• Effectively communicates with department supervisors and upper management. Utilizes email to communicate with Sales and operations departments
• Provide continuous email updates of products in the Will Call Department
• Tends to the drivers and utilizes driver sign in sheet to identify which order to have loaded
• Utilizes network software to look up PO numbers provided by the drivers
• Keep records of all Will Call Orders leaving the facility
• Ensure Will Call shipments are loaded in a timely manner
• Properly match shipments to the applicable loading forms ensuring vehicles are loaded with the correct material
• Ensure orders are verified and all accompanying paperwork is correctly filled out
• Processes all Will Call paperwork
• Tracks Will Call pick-ups
• Ensures that photo verification of loaded product has been completed by the loaders
• Attends safety meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them
• Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Duties are not limited to those described above and may be expanded as needed
Information and Activities Critical to Process Quality:
Will Call Verification and Documentation:
• Maintain driver sign in sheets to monitor when drivers arrived
• Ensure Will Call form is fully filled out
• Enter tracking verification into company database
• Move shipments in a timely manner
• Tend to drivers
• Locate Will Call shipments
• Have shipments loaded onto the correct vehicle
• Photo verification
• Ensure loaders are correctly taking photos of loaded vehicles
Department Responsibilities:
QMS:
• Fully understand and maintain all expectations listed in the procedures and work instructions
• Follow all Quality Policies and Department Processes
• Understand the process of identifying and segregating non-conforming product from good material
Safety:
• Wear all necessary PPE at all times
• Maintain the daily checklist on the picker/forklift
• Attend daily safety meetings
• Responsible for maintaining a clear and safe work environment
• Maintain clear aisle ways and organize racks as well as dock space
• Always be aware of potential hazards in the surrounding areas
Qualifications:
• Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred
• 1+ years of Pipe, Valve, Fitting, and Flange experience
• Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
• Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Have the ability to drive forklifts and secure certifications
• Capable of lifting 50lbs with back support
• Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned
