Job Title: Verification Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Verification Engineer to execute verification and qualification test protocols on Windows 10/11 medical device tablets. This role involves collecting test data, documenting results, and writing design verification reports. The successful candidate will validate that medical device software operates correctly on new Dell tablets replacing end-of-life hardware, ensuring adherence to ISO and IEC quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Execute verification and qualification test protocols on medical device tablets.
• Collect test data, document results, and write detailed design verification reports.
• Validate software functionality on new hardware platforms.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and IEC quality standards.
• Perform test dry runs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure full compliance before shipment.
• Collaborate effectively with a small cross-functional team, including a project manager and 2–3 support engineers.
• Configure tablets by removing non-essential software to ensure only the medical application runs.
Essential Skills
• 10+ years of verification and validation experience, including test protocol execution, troubleshooting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in hardware and software verification.
• Experience executing test protocols and writing validation reports.
• Familiarity with medical device standards and design verification.
• Competence in verification documentation and medical device standards such as ISO.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with Windows operating systems.
• Medical devices, test protocols, hardware, and software.
Work Environment
This position requires on-site work from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. You will collaborate with a small team but will work independently on most tasks. The role involves working with advanced medical technologies in a professional setting, adhering to quality standards, and contributing to a dynamic and innovative environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
