Hecker Fink LLP is seeking a Technology Solutions Engineer to design, build, and support data, automation, and AI-driven solutions across the firm. This role combines business intelligence development, Power Platform automation, and hands-on work with emerging Microsoft Azure AI technologies. Qualified applicants will have strong experience with Power BI, Power Automate or other low-code/no-code automation platforms. Ideal candidates are energized by improving business and legal services processes through modern data and automation tools.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Chief Information Officer and department leaders to design, build, and maintain Power BI data models, dataflows and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain a data warehouse environment using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Create ETL pipeline using Power Query and related tools.
• Build and manage Power Automate workflows to support business process automation.
• Develop document automation solutions to reduce manual administration work.
• Prototype and deploy solutions using Microsoft Azure AI Services, AI Apps, and AI Agents.
• Assist in researching, testing, and evaluating new technologies for business operations and legal services needed.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to document requirements and develop scalable solutions.
• Define and implement best practices for data governance, automation standards, and AI tool usage.
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to IT team members.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a combination of employment, educational, and life experience that demonstrates the qualities and skills below:
• Education and Experience: Minimum five (5) years’ experience in business intelligence, automation, or data engineering. Experience in legal, professional services, or compliance-driven industries is a plus.
• Knowledge and Skills: Experience designing complete Power BI reporting solutions, including integrating operational data, constructing governed data models, and building intuitive dashboards that support decision-making personnel across the Firm. Knowledge in building and managing Power Automate workflows. Ability to configure and tailor application-embedded reporting tools to produce intuitive reports for end users. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure AI Services, AI solution design, and ETL Processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Confidentiality: You demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive material and are familiar with concepts of information classification, DLP, etc. You must be able to adhere to Firm policies regarding the protection of confidential data and demonstrate sensitivity to (and good judgment in connection with) confidential attorney, personnel, and Firm matters.

You are comfortable in an environment where your responsibilities may vary from day to day. In addition, the successful candidate will be based in New York, Los Angeles or Washington, DC and will be available to work 9:00a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Compensation: The expected base salary for this role ranges from $150,000 - $180,000 and is dependent on experience.
