PROFILE Role Title: Team Lead - Sales, Oman Reporting to: Growth Manager-Physical CONTEXT Ooredoo Group (OG) is one of the fastest growing telecom groups in the world. As a result, OG has established a FinTech organisation – Ooredoo Fintech - committed to responsibly building an ambitious and innovative fintech business in the Middle East & North Africa region and beyond. Ooredoo Fintech acts as a parent company and fully owns local fintech subsidiaries in each of the six target markets, which will hold the local regulatory license and permissions. The local fintech subsidiaries will be responsible for execution in the local markets, for running compliant, efficient operations and for building capabilities (Centres of Excellence) that can be reused and leveraged across the Group. Leaders in Ooredoo Fintech will be tasked with building one of the most well‑funded, ambitious and impactful ventures in the region, hence a few personal ingredients are essential: • Gravitas, presence and remaining centred on the long‑term vision. • Ability to lead teams at scale. • A vision and the ability to build capabilities that are effective in a market and – at the same time – designed to be leveraged across the entire Group • Ability to think, act and deliver constantly and incrementally. • Ability to lead and manage a wide array of partners suppliers and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions. • Demonstrably operating with an attitude that is simultaneously structured, pragmatic, credible & courageous ROLE PURPOSE The resource will be responsible for driving customer acquisition through physical sales channels, managing promoters, planning on‑ground activities and events, and building strong relationships with communities and corporate partners. The role requires hands‑on leadership to grow and maintain the customer base while ensuring high productivity and compliance across the sales team. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Onboarding • Lead customers onboarding through physical channels such as camps, labor accommodations, markets, events, kiosks, and community gatherings. • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly onboarding targets are achieved. • Monitor quality of onboarding in line with compliance and company guidelines. Promoter & Team Management • Manage, train, and motivate a team of promoters and sales executives. • Plan promoter deployment across different locations and channels. • Track individual and team performance and take corrective actions where required. • Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity of the sales team. Customer Retention & Engagement • Plan regular activities and events to retain and engage existing customers. • Work closely with promoters to maintain strong relationships with onboarded customers. Partnerships & Relationship Management • Establish and maintain relationships with communities, associations, corporates, and employers. • Coordinate with corporate HRs and community leaders for access and onboarding opportunities. Reporting & Coordination • Report daily and weekly sales performance to the reporting manager. • Share field insights, competitor activities, and market feedback. • Coordinate with marketing, compliance, and operations teams for smooth execution. Experience and Skills • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in Oman, preferably in fintech, telecommunications, or financial services. • Proven experience in managing field sales teams and promoters. • Strong understanding of physical sales channels and on‑ground customer acquisition. • Valid Oman driving license (mandatory). • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple field activities simultaneously.
