AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations—from foundational services such as Amazon S3 and EC2, to new innovations that set AWS’s services apart. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers requiring specialized security solutions for cloud services. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while maintaining low costs for customers, in an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas and ownership.
What we do: AWS Utility Computing Console Services develops the platforms and tools that support critical AWS control plane and monitoring functions. What’s high-impact: our services enable AWS services to control AWS hardware and monitor hardware health and functionality. What’s the challenge: our space is fast-moving with ambiguous and difficult challenges; you will own your space, identify solutions, iterate quickly, and produce products customers love.

Responsibilities
• Develop and manage software for AWS Console Services that support control plane and monitoring functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across AWS to design scalable, reliable systems.
• Identify solutions, experiment with ideas, and iterate to deliver customer-valued products.
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package may include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
