Overview Sr Software Development Engineer, AWS Console Services, AWS infrastructure — Job ID: 3142255 | Amazon.com Services LLC AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations—from foundational services such as Amazon S3 and EC2, to new innovations that set AWS’s services apart. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers requiring specialized security solutions for cloud services. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while maintaining low costs for customers, in an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas and ownership. What we do: AWS Utility Computing Console Services develops the platforms and tools that support critical AWS control plane and monitoring functions. Responsibilities • Develop and manage software for AWS Console Services that support control plane and monitoring functionality. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across AWS to design scalable, reliable systems. • Identify solutions, experiment with ideas, and iterate to deliver customer-valued products. Basic Qualifications • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software programming language • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling) • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations) • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
