Role Overview :
The Technology Solution Architect is responsible for collaborating with Portfolio Architects, Platform Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineering teams to define detailed, scalable, and secure solution designs. This role plays a key part in translating business and functional requirements into robust technology solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, platform roadmaps, and banking standards throughout the agile delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
Work closely with Portfolio and Platform Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineers to define detailed solution designs, including story decomposition for backlog items.
Ensure that products and services are supported by appropriate architectures and meet business and banking requirements.
Own the solution design to ensure it is cost-effective, scalable, and maintainable across the agile development lifecycle.
Manage and prioritize the flow of design activities within the backlog.
Collaborate with DevSecOps Engineers to resolve operational and non-functional issues related to security, performance, availability, monitoring, alerting, and design defects.
Translate business and functional requirements into clear, actionable product and service requirements to guide technology development and influence service direction.
Ensure solutions align with platform architecture, technology roadmaps, enterprise architecture standards, group policies, and regulatory requirements.
Identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues proactively to avoid delivery or operational surprises.
Manage and track dependencies across multiple platforms, value streams, and sub-value streams.
Ensure appropriate governance and approval processes are followed when deviations from reference architectures, standards, strategies, or policies are required.
Drive peer reviews of solution designs and ensure decision-making traceability, validation, and documentation of architectural choices.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong experience in solution architecture within enterprise or banking environments.
Solid understanding of platform architectures, enterprise architecture principles, and agile delivery models.
Experience working with DevSecOps practices and operational considerations.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration skills.
Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.
Strong risk management, governance, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
Exposure to cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, and modern architecture patterns.
Knowledge of security, compliance, and non-functional requirements in enterprise systems.
