Responsibilities:
Take the lead in shaping Meta's advancements to create industry-leading VR devices. Design and develop APIs within the system-level framework layer to enable compelling and efficient use cases across the stack. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including partners, product managers, and engineers, to create comprehensive solutions. Troubleshoot functional, performance, and stability issues across the stack alongside Application and Platform teams. Enhance OS internals and lead technical improvements to benefit our software framework. Elevate team coding and design skills through reviews and best practices, demonstrating clean, readable code and proactive debugging techniques. Engage closely with product management and software engineers to understand requirements, propose new interfaces, and improve existing frameworks. Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality outputs. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 5 years of software development experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience. 3+ years of experience with any of the following: Operating Systems, AOSP, Identity, Device Management on iOS/Android, Device Security, Android Enterprise. Hands-on experience with Android, macOS, or Windows internals and framework services. Proficiency in C++ or Java. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Android performance tools and security models. 3+ years of experience with: Android internals, AOSP, Android SDK, Android NDK, Android JNI, Android IPC mechanisms, and Linux OS development. 1+ years of experience in mobile platform software development (Android/iOS). Familiarity with Android UI frameworks and services. Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $74.04 to $217,000 per year plus bonuses, equity, and benefits.
