Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in .NET and C# to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining web APIs and software solutions that cater to banking and regulated industries, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. The role is 70/30 with a focus on back-end development. Candidates must reside in certain states as quarterly meetups are held in Texas.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web APIs using .NET and C#.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Implement software development best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
Create and maintain documentation for software components and APIs.
Conduct software testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance and security.
Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve applications.
Required Qualifications
2-3+ years of software development experience in a regulated environment.
Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on .NET and C#.
Familiarity with RESTful services and web API development.
Experience with software development methodologies and best practices.
Proficient in Visual Studio and familiarity with .NET Core / ASP.NET.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture.
Experience in SQL and database management.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular is a plus.
