Position Overview
The Software Engineering Position is focused on architecting and developing a hyper‐optimized, low‐latency, and highly scalable React‐based web trading platform. You will design systems that interact with real-time, high-frequency data streams for market data and trade execution; implement an Advanced Message Processing System (AMPS) based, event-driven architecture with microservice integration; and lead the transition of a legacy C++ desktop application to a modern TypeScript/React stack with zero downtime and optimized performance. Additional tasks include designing data serialization solutions with Protocol Buffers, enhancing data exchange processes across distributed systems, enforcing zero-trust identity and access management using IdentityAnywhere (IdAnywhere), and engineering zero-latency integrations for tick-by-tick market analytics.
Job Location: 600 Travis Street, Houston, TX 77002.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and develop a React-based trading platform that processes real-time, high-frequency market data and trade execution.
• Implement and fine-tune an AMPS-based, event-driven architecture with microservice integration for real-time market updates and risk management.
• Lead the transformation of a complex C++ desktop application into a modern TypeScript/React stack, ensuring full backward compatibility and zero downtime.
• Design and implement efficient data serialization solutions using Protocol Buffers to enable seamless interoperability across distributed systems.
• Optimize data exchange processes and engineer zero-latency integrations between market data feeds and order management systems leveraging high-performance streaming APIs.
• Architect and enforce a zero-trust identity and access management model using IdentityAnywhere (IdAnywhere) for the trading ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum Education & Experience: Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 3 years (36 months) of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React and TypeScript, including deep knowledge of React internals, concurrent rendering, and performance tuning for real-time financial applications.
• Proven track record in migrating latency-sensitive applications from C++ to TypeScript while ensuring multi-threading safety and memory efficiency.
• Experience using AMPS for real-time, event-driven architectures, handling high data volumes with low-latency delivery and state-of-the-world messaging.
• Familiarity with AG Grid for optimizing large-scale financial data visualization, including server-side row virtualization and custom cell rendering.
• Expertise in integrating IdentityAnywhere (IdAnywhere) for enforcing multi-layered authentication and real-time role-based access control (RBAC).
• Proficiency with Protocol Buffers for efficient data serialization in high-performance, distributed systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with quantitative researchers, trading desks, and global infrastructure teams.
