Compensation: $110,623 – $154,871 USD (Base Salary)
Blue Origin is hiring early-career engineers to help build the future of spaceflight.
This role is designed for 2026 graduates or recent alumni who want to work
hands-on with real flight hardware. You’ll write low-level software that directly controls
rockets, landers, and satellites—on-site and close to the systems you program.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and test real-time embedded software for avionics hardware
• Write drivers and middleware for sensors and actuators
• Ensure flight software meets safety and reliability standards
• Collaborate with electrical and systems engineering teams
• Support human-rated, repeatable, and mission-critical flight systems
Qualifications
• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (degree by Fall 2026)
• Strong proficiency in C/C++
• Solid understanding of embedded systems (MCUs, RTOS, or Linux)
• U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Refugee/Asylee (ITAR requirement)
