Actalent is looking for software developers to join our engineering consulting team. Selected candidates will report to a technical manager at Actalent and support various projects for clients in different sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth and learning about different fields, technologies, and products. When projects with a client are completed, the developer will be assigned to other projects by our technical management team and, in the meantime, will be able to work on proof of concepts, conduct training, etc. These are intended to be career hires with our organization and are not individual client placements.
Actalent is looking for candidates who are flexible, both technically and logistically. We have some projects that are remote and will be carried out from our engineering consulting office in Ville Saint-Laurent, but others will also require on-site presence at our clients' offices to interact with their teams. For example, we have one client in Laval and another in Brossard. We will always prioritize the individual circumstances and preferences of our employees.

Role and Responsibilities

• Analyze, debug, modify, test, and implement software (primarily C and C++). We have embedded projects, as well as higher-level applications.
• Responsible for debugging existing, recent, and older products
• Interact with people from different departments, organizations, and other locations around the world
Requirements
• Expertise in C or C++ programming
• 3+ years of experience in embedded or high-level application development
• Written and spoken English
• Office presence: 2-3 days in the office if required
