As a Senior React Developer, you’ll be shaping features, challenging assumptions, solving deeply technical problems, and collaborating with product managers, backend engineers, QA, hardware teams, and installers. You’ll be replacing a team member we’ve worked with for a decade — so yes, this is a key role in a close-knit team.

Hybrid: working from home and from our office in Ghent or in Cluj-Napoca.
What You’ll Work On Lochting is a powerful SaaS platform owned by Meditech-Pharma, developed by Baldwin, helping pharmacists across Europe manage and automate their digital and physical sales channels:
Sales Channels = Vending Machines, Kiosks, Lockers and Webshops
Integration with ERPs , robotic dispensers , payment & shipping providers, PIMs, Pharmacies on Duty
Management of product selections, prices, promotions , appointments , customers
Management of Orders, Reservations and Shipments
Digital Signage: TV screens, managing the content running on the screens by generating the content and scheduling it accordingly
Lochting is in production, generates revenue, and continues to scale up internationally. You’ll be working on:
Designing and building new features
Improving UX, performance, and code quality
Supporting what we’ve already built
Collaborating with device and robot teams on Lochting Platform which is at the intersection of hardware, firmware and a web application
What You’ll Do Translate high-level, often brief specs into thoughtful, well-structured solutions
Ask the right questions, use diagrams or whiteboards, and lead your way to clarity
Own your work: from specs to production, including support and iteration
Collaborate closely with backend engineers (Symfony), QA, designers, and other frontend devs
Monitor, refactor, and optimize — we ship, and we care about how things run after they go live
What You Bring Must-Have: 8+ years of frontend experience in complex applications (this is definitely not a junior or a medior role)
Expertise in React, TypeScript, modern JS, and state management (Redux or similar)
Experience with functional components and hooks, but also with legacy class-based components
Experience with building tools such as webpack, parcel, grunt, etc.
Experience working with APIs, authentication, and caching strategies
Ability to dive into legacy class components when needed, and refactor them with care
Fluency in Git, Webpack/Vite, Docker, and debugging tools
Strong communication skills in English
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Nice-to-Have: PHP or (at least a bit of) backend experience
Experience with server-side rendering is a plus
Experience with embedded devices or hardware-connected interfaces
UX mindset and attention to detail
